Q: In October last year, a foreign food manufacturer was granted the Chinese registration number of overseas manufacturer, and the corresponding HS code & CIQ code have been approved. The question now is whether the food produced by the enterprise in August last year can be exported to China?
A: According to the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and its implementation regulations, the Measures of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Import and Export Food Safety and the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Registration and Administration of Overseas Manufacturers of Imported Food, overseas manufacturers of imported foods shall obtain registration with the GACC, and the registration for overseas manufacturers of imported foods is valid for five years. A registered manufacturer shall mark the Chinese registration number or the registration number approved by the competent authority of the country/region on the inner and outer packaging of the foods exported to China. The production date of imported foods shall be within the validity period of registration. The above opinions are for reference. For details, please refer to the on-site review opinions in the actual business process.
